CS系位于Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, 也就是大名鼎鼎的紐約大學數學研究院下。CS系目前有兩個項目Information Science 和 Computer Science. 在Courant院內轉專業是比較靈活的，學生可以根據興趣申請轉專業。
CS項目需要36學分畢業，每門課3學分等于12門課畢業。必修課包含OS, Programming Languages(PL), 算法(FA)，以及一個自選的capstone.

屬于NYU數學研究院Courant下，基本能保證拿到所有大公司的first round interview，能走多遠看個人努力。項目獨有一些實習資源，某些小fund和項目有深度合作，甚至一些教授自己就有fund，某些課上的老師會直接從課上招學生去做summerintern。此外，由于大行的名額一般比較固定，比如某行給NYU金數2個名額，給哥大金工4個名額，但是NYU只有40個人，哥大金工有100個人，這樣的話小項目resume pick的概率會更高一些。

是一門集金融、數學和計算機的交叉學科，是專門培養高級金融人才的專項教育。紐約大學的金工專業，2018全美排名TOP12（Quantnet），也是全美同類院校中最難申請的專業之一，地理位置極佳，毗鄰華爾街，每年僅招收大概30名學生，偏好數學和計算機背景較強的學生。
該項目要求學生遞交GRE成績，但無最低分數要求。學制1年，共需修讀33個學分，無需撰寫畢業論文。

每年招收的人就比較少，不到100個人。課程設置上偏向于信息系統、數據庫管理。比較適合沒有tech背景，但是想轉去做數據分析或者PM的人。
項目教授大部分是part time，在銀行或者大企業做高管，我們專業一般是科技公司、銀行的CIO做教授，也有一些技術類課程是 full time professor
STEM專業留美有優勢，有去Amazon、Google這樣的企業做 entry level，也有很多在不同行業做數據分析，在銀行做modelling的

媒體，文化和傳播（MCC）的課程強調研究全球媒體和文化，數字媒體和新技術，媒體歷史，媒體理論，視覺文化，媒體基礎設施，種族和性別，媒體活動和政治溝通。
雖課程主要是理論課程，但MCC課程的學習是靈活的，允許來自整個大學的眾多選修課程適應學生的學術和專業軌跡。可以選修紐約大學法學院媒體法，Tandon工程學院的數字設計和互動技術，人類學院的媒體民族志等課程。我們還提供歐洲，亞洲和拉丁美洲的研究生留學課程，以便在比較背景下審視媒體。
