芝加哥大學mpp專業需要學18門研究生水平課程，學分在就讀期間達到1800個學分，每個課程均下來修讀100個學分，其中至少12門公共政策(PPHA)課程，6項核心課程，其余是選修課主要是為了可以讓MPP專業學生可以探索特殊的學術興趣和領域，并參加實習和獨立研究以補充所需的課程工作，以便學生可以選擇專注于公共政策領域，在大學的各個系和學校中注冊課程，并利用經驗性機會將他們在課堂上學到的知識應用到現實世界中。

春天：3門選修課程

所有課程的累計平均績點為2.7，基于4.0的等級
6門核心課程成績為C-或更高；
完成數學要求(可獲得支持)；
通過代數考試；
通過微積分考試；
完成申請經驗要求；
不超過2門閱讀/研究、獨立學習或實習課程；
不超過2門及格/不及格課程(核心課程不能及格/不及格)；
成績為F、I、W或沒有報告成績的課程不符合該項目18門課程的要求；
“A cumulative GPA of 2.7 for all courses, based on a 4.0 scale
A grade of C- or better for the 6 core courses
Completion of the math requirement (support available)
Pass algebra exam
Pass calculus exam
Completion of an applied experience requirement (more information)
No more than 2 reading/research, independent study, or internship courses
