詞源記憶法
tomorrow 源自古英語 to morgen 。 to 意為 at,morgen 意為 morn 或 morning 。按字面意義，兩詞合在一起就是 at the next moring 的意思。嗣后， morgen 逐漸演變為 morrow ，最后 to 與 morrow 復合成 tomorrow 。 today 一詞的情況也大致相同，古英語原作 to daeg 'on ( this ) day' , 以后漸漸演變復合為 today 這一形式。

單詞用法
today用作不可數名詞時，意思是“今天”，只指白天，不指黑夜。一般用作主語，用作定語時多用其所有格。today還可作“現在，當代”解。
today等于on this day，故其前不可再加介詞on。再如不能說in last year/in yesterday
注意做副詞狀語時前面不能加介詞（因為介詞后需加名詞）；如不能寫成in today（yesterday/tomorrow等同理）
